Tulips BLOOMED

Well, we had been anxiously awaiting the tulips to bloom but wouldn’t you know it, it happened over our spring recess! One of my students called on Tuesday (4/20) of that week to tell me that one of the tulips had bloomed. When I stopped into school later that week, all but five had blossomed. When we got back to school, the kids were delighted to see all the red. Then two days later, we had a snowstorm and the tulips were covered with snow!! We were all glad that it did not really affect the tulips at all. As of Friday (4/30), there was still a tulip that had not bloomed. However, it is a “double” so we think that is why. Now the kids are wondering what is going to happen next…
