"The Tanana River Ice officially broke up on April 29, 2010 9:06 am Alaska Standard Time."
"Officials had checked the river prior to it breaking up this morning. The ice jam was showing signs of water movement in the rotting ice holes and shortly after the ice started moving down river sounding the siren and stopping the clock."
