Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/04/2010

Number: 1

Six eggs on 4 Common Milkweed plants within Monarch Waystation, which is mulched and has low vegetation near. Plants only 8-10 inches tall. No eggs found in Milkweed in tall grass of roadside within 80 feet. Is this truly a case of "If you build it, they will come"?

Editor's Note: The presence of eggs means an adult monarchs has arrived in this area. Therefore, we are adding this egg report to the migration map.
