Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/04/2010

Number: 1

I saw the first monarch of the season yesterday morning. Wings were moderately fresh. It flew close to the ground in the backyard. Skies were clear with light winds and temps in the upper 70's. There were two additional sightings this morning! Monarch #1 had moderately fresh wings and wing size was smaller than usual. Monarch #2 was moderately faded with larger wings.
Weather conditions were about the same as yesterday except warmer with a good breeze from the south.
