Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/05/2010

Number: 1

A bright, new female came along at 12 noon today and laid at least 8 eggs in our milkweed bed. She chose all common M'weed (A. syriaca) out of the 5 species we grow. We have a number of predatory ants staking out the plants so I removed the eggs to keep them from being eaten.
