This afternoon I saw something out of the side of my eye that flew to a hanging basket of red petunias and left just as quickly. This was around 4:30 p.m. I went in the kitchen and can watch my bird feeders from the window. At 5:00p.m. I saw the first ruby-throated hummingbird (female) eat from 3 of my feeders. The last one she ate from is one that attaches to the kitchen window. I got a very good look at her! Hope she is going to stay and not passing through. Usually the males are the first ones I see. Love this time of year!
