On April 24 I saw a very faded remigrant monarch (sex ?) made a double past at my Anacacho orchid tree which didn't flower much this year. In 2009 it was a butterfly magnet.
On May 4 I saw a fresh 1st gen monarch crusing around to back porch but he or she didn't stay.
It seemed unusual to me to see old and new so close together.
