While sitting at the table Friday evening 05/07/10 a Ruby-throated hummingbird flew in and started searching under the eaves above the picture window. This is the spot where our feeders hang each year. As soon as I notice a hummingbird looking for the feeder, I make a batch of nectar and hang it out. Since there is no vegetation near the window area and no other reason for a hummer to be flying back and forth under the eaves, I have to assume that this bird is returning to where it fed last year. Simply amazing!
