Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/03/2010

Number: 1

The first monarch flew past our classroom window. It was flying fast in a Northeasterly direction

I am pretty certain I observed a monarch, as I reported. It was not a red admiral.

I have also seen more red admirals in the past week than I have seen in my entire life. They are pouring through my back yard and laying eggs on the stinging nettle. I hope they can keep ahead of the medium, black ants.
