Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/14/2010

Number: 1

At 3 p.m. I spotted a adult male ruby-throated hummingbird feeding at a sugar-water feeder in my back yard. In the past six years that I've been attracting hummers, I have never seen an adult male in my yard. I get birds all summer long, as many as three at a time, but they appear to be adult females or juveniles.
I thought my hummers might be late this year, but this first sighting coincides with my first sighting last year.
