Heard the constant cheeping of baby yellow-bellied sap suckers today. It is incessant, demanding and can be annoying (if nesting too close to the house). But even so, it is one of our welcome sounds of spring! How do the parents put up with it? Why is it that nothing ever seems to raid the nest? I guess it must be too deep.
