The only ruby-throated hummingbird I've seen this Spring was May 9th. It was "humming" around the tips of the needles on the big pine tree in our yard and then moved over to some red flowers. I've had a feeder up for a long time. I saw it for 2 days, and then I assume it moved on. I was so surprised, as I thought it was late in the season.
