Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/15/2010

Number: 1

Oh happy day I was rolling meatballs for our dinner at the dining room table at 5:10 and I turned my head to look out our patio door. I saw a male ruby throated hummingbird arrive at the deck feeder which has been hanging there since the middle of April. He didn't stay long but I could see his throat flashing red in the evening sunlight. The fuschia plant is there for him too. I was beginning to worry about such a late arrival this year. Welcome back from Mexico! Its going to be a great summer!!!!!!
