Finally! The hummingbirds are about 2 weeks late this year, at least as compared with the past 3 years. This spring we had late snows and below freezing temperatures at night up until a week ago.
This morning at 6:15 am I looked out the window at the feeder in our front yard and there she was. One female. After feeding, she perched and groomed on a low branch of the Black Pine for about 2 or 3 minutes before taking off.
