Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/13/2010

Number: 1

I saw a female monarch laying eggs on some milkweed plants a at nursery near my workplace. About a week later I returned and bought two plants that had one tiny larva each. I put the two plants with the larvae in a mesh butterfly house at home to protect them from predators, and will release them when they eclose. I have not seen any eggs or larvae on the milkweed in my garden to date!
