I saw my first Monarch near my house at Carrying Place yesterday (May 19th).

Carrying Place, Ontario (150 km east of Toronto just west of Presqu’ile Provincial Park. Named as such because native aboriginal Canadians used this area to portage from the Bay of Quinte into Lake Ontario before the Murray Canal was built.
