Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/13/2010

Number: 1

On May 13, 2010 we discovered our nest of 4 years had new babies in it. There were 2 eggs and 2 hatchlings. We watched them and took photos of them every few days. We were amazed at how fast they developed. We have learned so much about them through our observing the activity in the nest. Today we saw 2 of them jump out of the nest. We were very unnerved because we have 4 dogs that were very curious about what they were. One of the babies got out of our fence and hopped following the mama robin to a near by bunch of trees. The other one is back up in the nest after our dog chased it. Oops! But all seems to be well and on schedule. Today is day 14 for one and 13 for the other. We look forward to seeing the other 2 jump in the next few days as they reach there 13th day tomorrow!
