I haven't seen a Monarch this year but found a first egg at lunch today. The Monarch had to have visited my plants in the backyard this morning. I had looked for eggs last night when I was thinning out my milkweeds(some now about two feet high) and didn't see it then. It was on the top-side of a leaf at the top of the plant

It's definitely a Monarch egg. I had to go back into the house to get my hand lens (10x) to confirm.
