Saw a monarch flitting through our yard today. The warm spring has everything more advanced than usual. Our lilacs are done blooming....usually they are just starting to smell sweet! This monarch was a little on the smaller side but I was fairly confident it was one......Observing 3 more later this week reassured me that the first was probably just a smaller adult monarch. Welcome back!
