Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/27/2010

Number: 1

My student reported having 18 or 19 Monarch caterpillars. A little doubtful, I asked him to bring me one. He did, and he is correct. It is now about 1 1/2 inches long and eating away at my milkweed!

Editor's Note: The presence of larva means an adult monarch has arrived in this area. Therefore, we are adding this larva report to the migration map.
