I'm continuing to have success as I hunt for eggs and cats in Indianapolis -- my count for May totaled 126. A plant I checked yesterday had one baby cat and eight eggs on it, which was so odd given the fact that there were multiple plants in the same spot with no eggs, and I had checked that same plant just a couple of days earlier. I have yet to see an adult in Indianapolis; the one butterfly I saw was at a state park miles from here.

It makes me wonder about the critters I missed for all the years (a long time ago) that I didn't even begin looking for eggs UNTIL I saw my first Monarch.
