Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/05/2010

Number: 1

Yes, I did see a single Monarch on Saturday during the
Algonquin East Side Butterfly count. It was a poor day weatherwise
with overcast conditions all day, drizzle on-and-off, and a cold front
moving through my early afternoon.

On the Red Admiral front, yes indeed, there are many all over the
place
- it's an incredible year for that species! No where near as many
American Ladies but there are certainly some around as well. I have
not seen any Painted Ladies - only American Ladies.
