Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/08/2010

Number: 1

I was outside mowing our horse pasture. I spotted 2 Monarch Butterflies flitting on the huge dirt pile we have, its now covered with weeds, phlox and daisies...Since they seemed to stay right in one area I decided to see what they were so interested in..There is a huge flat leaf with a cluster of what I think are eggs. We dont mow there and there are often butterflies of all different colors there in the summer. We have yellow and black swallowtails, little purble, yellow and white butterflies and some other odd ones. There is alot of phlox here and I know the butterflies love it.
