Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/08/2010

Number: 1

At 5:35 P.M. this afternoon, my husband was checking our vegetable garden, where we also have a large area of milkweed which he transplanted many of the Milkweek roots last fall. They are growing VERY WELL. In fact many are ready to flower. Anyway, he called to me to come out there. Just as I started toward the garden I saw what he wanted me for. An adult ( pale in color ) came flying toward me. I didn't get a close enough look to see if it was a male or female, but I'm excited about this sighting. Although it is unseasonably cool the last two days here in N.E Pa. I hope more Monarch's will arrive soon.
