Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/15/2010

Number: 1

Last evening when I was checking for the small caterpillars I had spotted earlier, a monarch butterfly flew in to visit my milkweed. Obviously, one had been in my milkweed plot before while I was out of the area for a couple of months, but this was the first one that I saw here. Today is rainy and cool and the larva are in hiding. But it seems fom the fact that there are already larva here that the UP of MI had a very early and warm Spring.
