Good afternoon fellow bird watchers,We have had a lot of rain in eastern and central Nebraska.Good for the plants, not so good for the people.Have not had many hummers, maybe the storms blew them south. The downys and their babies are making quite a racket around here. They are fun to watch. There is a yellow-throated vireo in the trees around my home.I hear him/her singing every day.It took me a while to figure out what kind of bird it was.All I heard for several days was a two note song. I finally caught a glimpse of it.The orioles are still coming to the jelly. There is one little female who sits out in the tree and waits for me to put out the jelly every morning.Good birding and gardening.
