Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/22/2010

Number: 1

We saw a monarch butterfly in our school butterfly garden and it was sitting on a milkweed leaf. She then flew to a purple cone flower to sip some nectar. We were very excited to see a monarch for the first time this season! Our garden is a certified Monarch Waystation and we look forward to seeing many more! As our kindergarten year comes to an end, we will stop back to the garden over the summer to look for butterflies.
