This sighting comes from our school butterfly garden where we have many annual/perennial flowers in bloom and approx. 75 milkweed plants. This is not the first monarch sighting, but we haven't seen more than one or two monarchs in the garden at one time and we have found no caterpillars to date, much to our disappointment. We have a small pond at the sight. The garden is maintained by volunteers and is a certified monarch watch site. We are hopeful to have students reporting data beginning in August of the 2010-2011 school year.
