Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

One lone female monarch in good condition and color laying eggs on Asclepias subverticillata in the East-central meadow at Arivaca Cienega at 10:15 a.m. No males patrolling anywhere. Flew to the South meadow afterwards.

Most milkweed 15 to 20 inches tall, 1/8 with flower buds, none in bloom.
