Haven't seen an adult monarch yet. But as I was leaving a mown hayfield I thought to check the milkweed at the edge. On a young shoot I spotted a very tiny larva. Since then I have found two on my property in Effingham, and 4 on milkweed on the side of the road; all very small larvae.
