Bald Eagle

Date: 07/15/2010

Number: 1

Was sitting by Westville Lake with my dog and pet rabbit. Kids were swimming in the water. Large bird with white head and white tail was circling overhead. Ducks were very agitated and making loud calls in the water. 7 black crows were circling above the large bird. The bird landed in a tree, I ran and got my father and the binoculairs. I thought that it was a bald eagle, and when we looked at it through the binoculairs it was a large bald eagle, I have seen them full grown at the zoo and the bird I saw at the lake appeared to be a little smaller than a full grown bald eagle that I viewed at the zoo. The eagle continued to sit in the tree for about 15 minutes then it flew away. This was a very special event for me to view the a bald eagle living free in Ohio. I hope i get another chance to view the animal.
