Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 07/17/2010

Number: 1

We found 1 2.5 cm long monarch caterpillar in a huge area (about an acre) of swamp Milkweed, Asclepias incarnata. There was also a single nectaring female monarch butterfly.

ps you might want to check the spelling of Nunavut in your listing of Canadian provinces...I was just there for a visit with a group of naturalists...incredible scenery, flora, fauna and people!
