The first monarch seen in our back yard garden this year spent several hours visiting the various milkweed areas to nectar and deposit eggs. She was in good shape but not fresh. I've counted 6 eggs so far but will look more thoroughly once the little cats emerge so I can collect them and keep them protected. Yipee!!!!
