While selecting some nectar plants at Medina Grarden Nursery located 13417 State Hwy 16-N Medina, Tx 78055 I saw my first Monarch for Spring 2010. According to the owner of the Nursery this was his first sighting also. The owner of this Nursery features native plants and two acres of gardens. Queens were very abundant but the one Monarch coasting higher was distictive. I noticed twice a Queen fly aggressivly toward the Monarch. I tagged Monarchs Fall of 2009 with Monarch Watch and had my 2010 tags in my car but my net was at home.
