Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/14/2010

Number: 1

After seeing Ruby-throated Hummingbirds visit the penta and Turk's cap blooms in the backyard the past two days, Altus decided today she'd get three HB feeders out for the early south bound migrants. I'd seen a female visit the Turk's cap about noon today and just a bit ago she or another female RT was visiting one of the feeders for the second time, we have had early female monarchs and Ruby-throats show up at the same time this August.
