This is strangely early for us. We have had one and two female monarchs in the backyard all day. Watched both at the same time at five and one is still staying around.
I could see eggs and larvae on the curassavica leaves thru the binocs, so our grandson and I went out and sure enough there was a small monarch larva on top of the leaf of the first plant crawling around. He pointed out others on the adjacent plant ... we went back in out of the heat index of
107 ... but it answered some of my questions.
