With my family on vacation visiting where I grew up we stopped at a park adjacent to Calabogie Lake and observed several (15-20) Monarch adults taking flight from a small grove of Eastern White Cedar trees.
It was early morning and we were able to tag several before they flew over the lake. My father passed away earlier this year and it was as though he was looking over and providing us the opportunity to tag some of them. I have fond memories as a kid tagging Monarchs with him.
