I saw the first ruby-throated hummer today of my life! I know it sounds weird, but truly I had never seen one in person before! I have some feeders out hanging over the front porch. There are also several very plain looking hummers frequenting the feeders during the last 6 weeks. Those are the type that are the most common around here. I've no clue what kind they are though.
