Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/19/2010

Number: 1

This summer has been the year for hummers! I have at least 7 right now, that I can count at one time, but there could be more. As of today, the hummingbirds are still abundant, vocal and very active. No change in eating habits, and are still chasing each other away from the feeders and flowers. The resident male is still here defending his territory against the females and young males. Last summer, the resident male had left by the second week of August.
