I have many butterfly plants in my backyard and only on August 18, 2010, have I seen more than one feeding at a time. There was a plant 2 weeks ago that had caterpillars on it but saw one caterpillar hanging upside down and he dried up! It's been very hot and dry (up to 107 deg) until this week. In an hour I saw 4 at one time on the plants during the late afternoon hours on the 18th. Currently there are only 2 feeding.
