I have had lots of little hummers for quite some time now. Part of the summer was quiet and then I would have bursts of activity. That's what I have now, bursts! I have many mini feeders situated around the yard so they don't have to fight. Front, back and side of yard, so I use mini feeders. They love those little things! Stay's nice and fresh too, as I have to keep putting fresh nectar in. One hummer turned and faced me last night and I saw a small red patch on his throat. (I didn't know if it was a female or juvenile until he turned.)
