It has only been the last three weeks that I have seen monarchs daily. Today it was around 3:00 p.m. when I noticed one just before a thunderstorm and it continued to flutter throughout the heavy rain!! I was lucky enough to walk into a field one day in September around 15 years ago to see more monarchs than I had ever seen at one time feeding on the clover. I knew this had to be them getting ready to make their journey south. It was marvelous to see. It was simply good timing. But I continue to look each year hoping to see that again!!
