Ruby throats are "swarming" at my feeder; I've counted 8 at one time; I fill the feeder twice a day. This "swarming" began about a week ago. Lots of territory battles; one large male is particularly aggressive. He allows some females to feed as he does but he is always on guard for "intruders". I remember this happening last year and I assume it is tied to migration though it seemed to start in September.
