Saw two Monarchs flying around our house at about 6:00 PM as we were just casually looking out our backyard from our deck. The weather was about 80F and humid, with no wind. We've had a total of about dozen sightings in our yard or within a couple of miles of home, in the past 3 weeks, which is a vast improvement over the past three years where we had one or none! Earlier in the week I spotted one in the evening by our grill who was, I think, entrapped in a spider web. He eventually broke lose and spent the night on the back of a lawn chair. In the morning he flew away as I turned on the deck lights to take a picture. He appeared to be very healthy.
