We have had 3 hummers all summer but lately a 4th has joined the group and they are fighting. I added an extra feeder to cut down on the battles. I assume this extra bird is migrating through. Most activity occurs from late afternoon on to dusk. Since I can see the feeder from the kitchen where I spend a lot of time, I don't really sit down to watch but notice the activity frequently. I am now seeing 4 together when previously I never saw more than 3.
