Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/19/2010

Number: 1

I am getting more frequent visits from my male and female Ruby-throated hummers from dawn to dusk in spite to the sudden honey bee invastion I had this week. I must have had 200 - 300 bees looking for nectar. I fed them separate to keep the hummers safe. Unfortunately more and more came so I have to take in the feeders and put them out at certain times until the last of the bees leave. My hummers are looking plumper every day. Since they arrived late this year I hope they stay a little longer. I know the weather is supposed to stay warmer longer this year. I have so much fun watching and taking pics of them on my hummer sticks made by Seller: Merrcomm on ebay. They are the greatest feeders for hummers that want their own feeding station, for picture taking and they are beautifully made. I really hope my hummers come back next year.
