First Monarch sighting was early 6/30/10 followed within two weeks of discovering caterpillars...many of them...Since mid-7/1/10... have found and raised over 85 caterpillars...since 8/1/10... I have released over 30 Monarch Butterflies...males are winning...about 3 to 1...have had one butterfly with a slightly deformed wing but still able to fly and one caterpillar with a deformed ring in caterpillar stage which showed a deformed chrysalis and died in that stage...continuing to find caterpillars... watching several Monarch Butterflies lay their eggs...this is always an exciting time of year for me...
