Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/20/2010

Number: 1

The ruby throated hummingbirds have been in a feeding frenzy for the past two weeks. In addition to nectaring on the many flowers
in our butterfly and hummingbirds gardens, we have four feeders around the house which I have had to refill almost every day. At the beginning of the season in early May I would refill the feeders every 5 days, now, every day. I awake to hundreds of chirping hummingbirds early every morning. They take a slight break from eating midday and then resume until sunset.
