Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/20/2010

Number: 1

A male and female ruby have made our backyard their summer home! Hope there are young ones about to fledge....hard to tell. The male spends a lot of time protecting the feeder and chasing off other unwelcome hummers. This morning he spent about 10 minutes fighting with the yellowjacket wasps who are attracted to the nectar. Pretty funny and very acrobatic!
