We have been seeing hummingbirds at our feeder at school since school started on August 4. We got pretty close to some outside today. There is one male and at least 2 females. The male chases other hummingbirds off every day. He guards the hummingbird feeder.

At home, our teacher has 3 feeders up with lots of hummingbirds. They are often 4 or so at each feeder trying to get some food. They get chased away by a bee sometimes, and spend a lot of time chasing each other off.
